The UK Lottery is a 6 out of 59 lotto game, which is drawn twice per week on Wednesday and Saturday.
In order to win the UK Lotto jackpot, you must select 6 numbers out of a possible 59 and match those numbers with the six lottery balls drawn in that game.
The second prize is obtained by matching 5 numbers plus the bonus ball with the lottery balls drawn.
There are six winning catagories: Match 6, Match 5 + Bonus ball, Match 5, Match 4, Match 3 and Match 2.
Prizes vary according to the size of the prize pool with the exception of the Match 3 prize which is fixed at £25. If the jackpot is not won, it gets carried over to the next draw.
When you buy a UK Lotto ticket, your ticket is automatically entered into the UK Lotto Raffle. The Raffle guarantees at least one millionaire and 20 winners of 20,000 (GBP). The randomly generated Lotto Raffle code is printed on each UK Lotto ticket.
The odds of winning any UK Lotto prize is 1 in 9.3.
