The UK Lottery is a 6 out of 49 lotto game, which is drawn twice per week on Wednesday and Saturday.
In order to win the UK Lotto jackpot, you must select 6 numbers out of a possible 49 and match those numbers with the six lottery balls drawn in that game.
The second prize is obtained by matching 5 numbers plus the bonus ball with the balls drawn.
There are five winning catagories: Match 6, Match 5 + Bonus ball, Match 5, Match 4 and Match 3.
Prizes vary according to the size of the prize pool with the exception of the lowest prize which is fixed at £10. If the jackpot is not won, it gets carried over to the next draw.
